What we do

We commonly assess and treat etiologies of speech disorders, swallowing disorders, and orofacial myofunctional disorders (seen in children and adults) including, but not limited to: tongue/lip/buccal ties (tethered oral tissues), tongue thrust, cranial facial abnormalities, and/or oral muscle weakness. Our therapy approach may be described as “out of the box but in the scope”, meaning we provide unique modalities within the allowed scope of practice guidelines of our public national and state licenses.

How We Do It

Common therapy approaches in our offices include: cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release for dysphagia, myofunctional therapy, breathing therapy, sensory/motor feeding, and oral placement therapy for articulation.

Therapy typically addresses etiologies of the following symptoms: breathing/adequate sleep, swallowing/eating, adequate growth/nutrition, and communication (receptive, expressive, social, and/or augmentative/alternate).

Our approach typically expedites progress to discharge when traditional modalities have not worked. We treat babies, children, adolescents, and adults.
