Typically, traditional therapy modalities address compensatory techniques instead of addressing the etiology of restricted or weak muscle tissues. When fascia, muscles, and or cranial sacral fluids are addressed, traditional techniques may be completed eliminated or reduced. It’s important for your therapist to identify if speech, swallowing, and/or breathing are the underlying issues or if they are “symptoms.” This will assist your therapist in designing a plan of care approach that will expedite your progress toward discharge.
